About Optomind

Optomind Inc. is the advanced active optical cable (AOC) provider in data center solutions including HPC and enterprise network.
Our advanced optical engine technology has enabled 400G QSFP56-DD, 200G QSFP56 AOC and SR optical transceivers with analog CDR to meet all the requirements including high performance, lowest power, and shortest latency at a disruptive pricing.

Yung Sung, Chief Technology Officer at OptoMind discusses the path to Active Optical Cables

Yung Sung, Chief Technology Officer at OptoMind discusses Active Optical Cables and Short Reach Optics for Top of Rack At 100G, Copper turning to Fiber Cables are enabled with 50m reach with better power, cost, performance, and lower latency.

Technology

Optomind’s proprietary optical engine is a fully integrated all-in-one type which contains lens array, prism optics, fiber guide (without fiber connector), and an enclosure packaging for the protection of optical devices and driver chipset. Its innovative design enables self-aligned accurate optical coupling between the optical device and optical fiber without any high precision assembly machine, thereby significantly reducing the delays in the ramp-up of volume and the manufacturing cost.

Products

We provide high-speed data rate AOC solutions from 10 Gbps to 800 Gbps with superior performance and reliability. Our products are DSP-free 400G QSFP56-DD, 200G QSFP56 AOC, and NRZ products including 100G QSFP28 AOC, 100G QSFP28-eSR4 transceiver, and their breakout AOC. Our DSP-free 400G QSFP56-DD and 200G QSFP56 AOC are the best-in-class as well as first-in-class AOC solution based on analog CDR, which is a major breakthrough in short reach applications for higher performance computing (HPC) and advanced cloud data center including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
